"Mummy, why does the grandfather cry?" asked little Molly
"Because he's afraid," said Mummy
"Do you cry when you're afraid?"
"I don't know."
"Oh." Molly thought hard about this and finally she asked, "Why is the grandfather afraid?"
"It's because he doesn't want to die, he is afraid of death. Do you understand?"
Molly thought about this as well, then nodded.
Mummy smiled and pulled the trigger.
The next day the police discoverd the bodies of a family of five in the living room of their home, each shot in the head. A mother, father, two boys, and their grandfather. The single fingerprint they were able to lift was too small to belong to an adult.
